4 Tips to Boost Retention
Retention starts with your lash tech (me) and ends with you! I will give you a great foundation to start with clean, beautiful lashes! Here’s some tips to keeping them up between appointments.
Tip #1: Wash your lashes
Wash your lashes daily! Sweat can build up and cause severe loss of extensions. Chlorine from swimming can break down the bond of adhesive. It’s important to wash your lashes immediately after swimming and fitness activities.
Tip #2: Do NOT rub or pull at your extensions
Rubbing and pulling at your lashes can not only cause you to lose your extensions, but your natural lashes as well.
Tip #3: No oil-based products
Oil based SPF’s and moisturizers are your lashes worse enemy! They can seep into the extensions and cause bacteria buildup.
Tip #4: Silk pillow cases
A lot of times we shed worse on one eye than the other. That can come from a few different factors. One to help overall would be to swap from cotton to silk pillow cases. Cotton cases can rub and yank off your extensions in your sleep.
Tip #4: Brush!
Brush daily! At least twice a day, but as many times as your heart desires if more!
